About

Design can be used to solve problems, but it is impossible to solve all problems. For example, population expansion and global warming, which have plagued humanity for decades, have not been effectively addressed so far. Rather than racking your brains to design from a problem-solving method, it is better to put forward or reinforce the problem speculatively from a different perspective, and to elicit the attention and thought of more people. The main goal is “to get people thinking actively”

Humans offer new opportunities for viruses

In the process of rapid industrialization and urbanization, forests have been cut down, wetlands have been crushed, and wildlife habitats have been artificially overgrown and fragmented...The natural buffer zone separating humans and animals has been destroyed, This allows pathogenic viruses or bacteria that originally existed in a closed loop to invade the human body. The "Frontier Report" published by the United Nations Environment Program pointed out that 75% of all emerging infectious diseases of humanity are zoonoses. The occurrence of these diseases is closely linked to the health of the ecosystem and also poses a serious threat to human life. The fight between humans and pathogenic viruses or bacteria will never stop.

"Pandora's box" is open

In recent decades of rapid development, mankind has unrestrainedly crossed the boundary of peaceful coexistence with wild animals, disturbed the original balance of nature and opened the "Pandora's box" for the spread of sickness. In terms of COVID-19, public health experts have said that one of the most important strategies to slow the spread of COVID-19 is "social distancing." We choose to stay home, wear masks and wash our hands frequently. The government chooses to prevent people from shopping, to close cities and countries to slow the spread of the virus. Faced with the challenge of this global pandemic, we deeply understood that our behavior will determine the development trajectory of the virus.

background

Humans go to animals

Since the day human beings were born, we have lived on this earth with viruses and animals. In the long-term common life, humans, animals and viruses have achieved cooperative evolution and common development relationship. Cities are attractive to humans for economic opportunity. Due to its high population density in cities, in order to expand the city's reach, humans invaded the living environment of wild animals and brought the virus to the city.

Animals go to humans

Due to the rapid economic development too, humans have polluted the environment and the habitats of wild animals have also been destroyed, such as the melting of glaciers caused by global warming, marine pollution caused by human waste and the destruction of wetlands caused by soil acidification. Animals must migrate into human territory, and perhaps bring viruses into the human environment as well.
